In linear and lifting drives—such as linear motion units or lifting systems—polyurethane timing belts are frequently used as open-ended belts. To ensure the lasting performance and precision of the overall system, the belt ends must always be anchored with absolute security to the machine frame or moving unit. For this purpose, we offer a comprehensive range of high-grade clamping components: compact clamping plates for straightforward fixing, and BRECO®-fix tensioning clamping plates with an integrated tensioning function.
Clamping plates – the solution for straightforward fastening
Clamping plates serve purely to fasten belt ends; adjusting belt pretension is not possible. They are deployed whenever only a rigid attachment to the machine housing is required. Our programme includes clamping plates—optionally with or without mounting holes—for all standard timing belt profiles, including T, AT, ATS, BAT, BATK, imperial, and HTD (e.g. 5M, 8M, 14M).
BRECO®-fix tensioning clamping plates
When precise pretensioning is required alongside secure end fastening, BRECO®-fix tensioning clamping plates are the ideal solution. An integrated tensioning unit allows belt tension to be adjusted accurately and conveniently. The system is divided into three variants:
Variant A: Three types for fixed mounting (Type 1), direct mounting with slotted holes (Type 2), or floating mounting (Type 3).
Variant B: Universally applicable (fixed or floating mounting), featuring a toothed insert made of rigid polyamide.
Variant C: Universally applicable and engineered for maximum loads.
