CONTI® SYNCHROCHAIN CARBON

Carbon makes the difference! Higher power transmission, longer service life, virtually no loss of tension and 50 percent lower elongation than aramid. Thanks to its core element – the carbon tension member – the CONTI® SYNCHROCHAIN CARBON timing belt is one of the most powerful timing belts in the world. It is suitable for all extreme applications with high torques and can even be used to replace chain drives.

It is typically used in energy recovery systems, printing presses, machine tools, and in agricultural, wood processing, packaging and textile machines, as well as in go-karts and bikes.

The CONTI® SYNCHROCHAIN CARBON timing belt transmits up to 5 times as much power as conventional polyurethane timing belts with the same width. This means that a considerably narrower belt can be used to achieve the same output, allowing the overall width to be reduced by up to 80 percent, significantly cutting overall costs.

The heavy duty CONTI® SYNCHROCHAIN CARBON timing belt is extremely resistant to abrasion and wear, and is maintenance-free. Its service life is up to 100 percent longer than timing belts using aramid cord. The high stiffness of the cord ensures that there is virtually zero loss of tension throughout the entire service life of the belt.
